Technical Leader
building AI solutions
at enterprise scale.
I help leadership teams turn ambitious ideas into systems that actually work.
I'm an engineering leader who has spent the last twenty-five years building things — from cloud infrastructure trusted by the world's largest enterprises, to retail technology that lets you walk out of a store without stopping at a register, to grid-scale batteries from saltwater chemistry.
Today I lead engineering for B2B at Amazon's Just Walk Out, where I'm exploring how generative AI changes the way software is built and operated. Earlier in my career I served as a U.S. Army officer and was awarded the Bronze Star. I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State.
Home is a turn-of-the-century rowhouse on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle — an old neighborhood with a long view of a fast city. The vantage point shapes how I think about technology: respect the tradition of the craft; build for what's next.
